- Return to the APK installation and complete it.
- Open PalmOrder and pair the device with the server.
On organization-managed devices, the administrator controls whether APK installation is allowed.
First launch
iOS
- Open Settings → Server and specify the server address, port and HTTPS setting.
- Tap Check and save.
- Enter the device name and tap Pair device. The app displays a confirmation code.
- In the PalmOrder Server control panel, approve the request using this code, then assign a license type and a unique
syncName. - Return to the app and tap Check status. Make sure Paired as … shows the expected
syncName. - Open Sync and tap Update references. Check that customers and products are available.
- Create an order, mark it as ready to send, then open Sync and tap Send documents. Check that the server received the document.
If iOS requests local network access when connecting to a local server, grant it to PalmOrder.
Android
After installation:
- In the exchange settings, select Server version 7+ and set the address, port and HTTPS option to match the server.
- Create a pairing request, approve it in the control panel and complete pairing on the device. See Pair a device for the full procedure.

exchange.xml. - Download reference data and the required configuration files through the exchange profiles.

Grant location and printer permissions when setting up those features. See GPS and Bluetooth printing.
Update the installed app
Before updating, run an exchange and check that the server has received all documents ready to send. Record the current version. On Android, it appears under Settings → About application; on iOS, under Settings, in the About the app block.
iOS — App Store
- Open PalmOrder in the App Store.
- If Update is available, tap it and wait for completion.
- Open PalmOrder and check the connection, reference data and document exchange.
You can also manage updates through your account in the App Store. Apple's guide to app updates.
Android — Google Play
- Open PalmOrder in Google Play.
- If Update is available, tap it and wait for completion.
- Open the app and carry out the checks below.
You can also manage updates through your Google Play profile under Manage apps & device. See Google Play help.
Android — APK
- Download the new APK from the Download page.
- Finish working with open documents and close PalmOrder.
- Open the APK and confirm the update to the installed app.
- Open PalmOrder when installation finishes.
A normal update over a compatible Android package preserves app data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the local database, settings and pairing data. If Android reports a package or signature conflict, send the administrator the error text and the versions of the installed and new packages. Agree on an update procedure before deleting any data.
Check after updating
- The app information shows the new version.
- Customers, products and existing documents open.
- The server settings retain the address and pairing status.
- Exchange completes successfully and the document appears in the server's
inbox. - On Android, if Bluetooth printing or GPS tracking is used, the selected printer and coordinate recording work.
If Android permissions have changed, check them under Android settings → Apps → PalmOrder → Permissions. Names vary by device. Android permission help.
