PalmOrder Server is a local exchange server between the office accounting system and PalmOrder mobile devices. It saves the received documents, gives the prepared data to the devices and keeps a log of the exchange.
How the exchange works
- The office system prepares files for mobile staff and places them in the server's outbox directory.
- The PalmOrder server transmits this data to connected smartphones and tablets.
- The device sends created orders, payments and other documents to the server.
- The office system takes documents from the incoming directory for further processing.
The server can be used on a local network or remotely over HTTP or HTTPS. To connect, the client must know the server address and port, then complete pairing.
What is in the server
The control panel in the browser gives access to the following sections:

What you need to prepare
- The computer that will be available to the devices during the exchange.
- Directories for input and output files of the accounting system.
- The address of the server on the network — for example,
192.168.1.20or a domain name. - License key if the server will be used outside of demo mode.
Tip. If the server is on a local network, assign it a static IP address or DNS name. This prevents clients from needing to be reconfigured after an address change.
